La Marzocco has been building espresso machines by hand in Florence since 1927. It was the first to lay the boiler on its side, a design the whole industry ended up following. It built the first machine with two boilers and saturated groups. With the Linea it gave speciality coffee the machine that defined café counters from Seattle to Melbourne, and for years it was the official machine of the World Barista Championship. It is a name baristas talk about with real respect, and we are very proud to have it with us.
What we love most is that La Marzocco has brought all of this home. The Linea Mini took the Linea and made it fit on a kitchen counter, and the Linea Micra was designed for the home from the very first sketch. They are still handmade in Florence, and you feel it the first time you lock in the portafilter.
If you are thinking about one, buying it from us means it comes with the official warranty and that our service centre in Tsuen Wan is there to look after it for you. And if you already have a La Marzocco at home, you are welcome to come to us too.
The best way to choose is still to try. We have given La Marzocco its own corner in our Tsuen Wan showroom, with the Linea Micra and the Linea Mini R side by side. Bring the beans you like, pull a few shots on each and take your time. Most people who come in asking which one to pick know the answer by the third cup.
